The Salvation Army is an international Christian organization that began its work in Canada in 1882 and has grown to become one of the largest non-governmental direct provider of social services in the country.

The Salvation Army gives hope and support to vulnerable people today and everyday in 400 communities across Canada and more than 130 countries around the world.

The Salvation Army in Saskatoon offers practical assistance and programs for families and children in need; including Christmas hampers to help people through the additional burdens of the Christmas season, school feeding programs, sending children to summer camp that may not have the means to do so otherwise, budget management assistance for people struggling to manage their finances, soup kitchen and residential services for people struggling to find consistent housing, and rehabilitation for people living with addictions.

Crossroads Residential Services: Male-Identified Emergency Shelter, Justice Program, Food Services, and Emergency After Hours. Bethany Home is a short-term home for female youth ages 12-18 years. Pathways on Avenue T is a transitional living program. Crossroads Housing Continuum is an innovative housing outreach program.
